Parking

The St. Thomas More Newman Center reserves the right to change any and all parking policies as needed and without advance notice.  Please do not call - read the information below and if you have questions or want to get on the waitlist, email the appropriate contact.

There are signs posted around the perimeter of the parking lot indicating this is a private lot, which means it is reserved for our patrons only. Two large signs identify the boundary between permit parking and parishioner parking, i.e. white-lined spots vs. yellow-lined spots.

The white parking spots are for permit holders. Each vehicle is issued a parking permit to prevent towing. The numbers at each spot are related to Football Parking only, not the permit number.

The yellow parking spots are for our parishioners, visiting guests, staff, and interns. Unless your vehicle has a permit, you must enter your vehicle information at the sign-in desk. Plate number and make/model/color are required. If you sign in, you must stay in the building. Vehicles not signed-in receive a warning sticker applied to the driver’s window, a first warning. The second offense results in towing. No sign-in is required on Saturday and Sunday because there is no towing.

Towing hours in the morning: M-F 7am to 11:30am. There is no towing during Mass and when people are coming and going: 11:30am to 1:00pm Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Friday. On Wednesdays: 11:30am to 2:00pm. Towing ends at 5:00pm.

Parishioners: If all the yellow spaces are taken, you are allowed to park in a white-lined spot, but only during Mass times. Once Mass is over, you need to move your vehicle to a yellow-lined space, or you will be towed.

The cut-out curb in front is for priests’ vehicles, unloading cars (15 minute limit), and vehicles with a handicap hang tag/license plate.
