Fr. Andrew – 2nd Sunday of Advent

Fr. Dan – 1st Sunday of Advent: Signs in creation and the Lordship of Christ

Homework for the week: This is a tough one: where do you need to surrender control to Christ? Where do you need to wake up to His Kingdom rather than to the kingdoms of the world?

Fr. Andrew – 1st Sunday of Advent

Fr. Dan – Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe: Christ the King wants love, not domination

Homework for the week: Advent begins next Sunday. It’s our time to prepare for the coming of the King. I challenge every parishioner to resolve this week to come to a weekday Mass at least once during Advent: Lourdes has them in the early morning; Newman has them at Noon; and Sacred Heart has them in the evening. Use them as opportunities to grow in submission to our King!

Fr. Dan – 33rd Sunday In Ordinary Time: At the end of my life, then what?

Homework for the week: This week, think out, or better write out, a short explanation of the Gospel, of how you would explain the Good News of Jesus Christ to another. Let’s stop trying to fit in with a secular culture that wants us to keep quiet about our faith and that disregards what is most essential.
