“They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers.” This scripture is the basis for a monthly gathering at Newman by the same name.
Each month at Acts 2:42, parishioners of all ages gather here for dinner, a talk, prayer and music. Dinner is provided and begins at 5:30 p.m. in the MPR. Then, we move to the Chapel for praise and worship music and a talk. Each month of this spring semester we are focusing the talks on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. After the talk, there is time for prayer, reflection, and worship during Adoration, and there is a priest available for Reconciliation. The night concludes at 8 p.m.
You can come for parts of the night or stay for the whole event. Childcare will also be available for children ages 6 months and up beginning at 6:30. This monthly event is another way for parishioners of all ages to come together in prayer and fellowship. As we seek to deepen our faith life as a community, we are hoping that you will consider joining us this week on Thursday, February 6th for Acts 2:42!
