Catholic Young Adults

Are you a graduate student or young adult looking for ways to grow in your Catholic faith? Catholic Young Adults is a group of men and women between 22 and 35 who meet regularly at the Newman Center.  We come together to strengthen our faith through fun, study, service, and prayer.  We support each other in responding to the unique challenges of being young adults in the world today.  In the process, we share responsibilities of leadership in this group as well as in the life of the parish.  For more information or to be added to the weekly email, contact

Faith Sharing and Study Opportunities

Graduate students and young professionals are encouraged to join small faith sharing groups facilitated by the parish and by campus ministry. Resident small group information may be found here. Graduate students are welcome to participate in small group Bible studies led by fellow graduate students and coordinated by our FOCUS missionaries. Contact Karianne at for more information.

Social, Service and Prayer Opportunities

CYA plans several different social events each semester (Spring, Summer, Fall), including tailgates, bonfires, game nights, and trips to the winery.  CYA volunteers monthly with existing service opportunities through Newman.  Young adults serve alongside other parishioners at the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri, Loaves and Fishes, the Interfaith Community Garden, and more!  Check the parish bulletin, CYA Facebook, and our weekly Young Adult email for more information on upcoming opportunities.
