Leadership in Campus Ministry
Want to get involved with Catholic Campus Ministry through leadership? There are four main ways to do so:
Student Pastoral Council
The Student Pastoral Council, in conjunction with the Director of Campus Ministry and on behalf of the student community of Catholic Campus Ministry, will be a visioning, policy-making body, and a directing force for campus ministry efforts and activities.
Positions of the Council that are open per application are:
- Parish Council Liaison / Council President
- Mizzou CSA President
- Stephens CSA President
- Columbia College Representative
- 3 Additional At-Large Members

Student Ministry Coordinators/Committees
The following coordinator positions are available per application:
- E3 (Coordinator, Planning Team, Talks)
- Freshmen Overnight
- Mission Trips

The following positions are based on invitation and interest indicated:

The Catholic Campus Ministry Student Pastoral Council will consider all applications at their bi-monthly meetings. In order to be considered, please submit applications by noon on the first and third Wednesdays of each month (excluding June and July). It is recommended that if you have a specific date in mind to submit the application as soon as possible in order to reserve space on the calendar. Applications for events in the academic year August 2018- May 2019 will be accepted beginning April 1, 2018.

Are you interested in serving the Church and gaining valuable ministry experience? Consider applying for one of Newman’s internships! 2018-2019 interns have been selected! Internships at the Newman Center are designed to target students interested in ministry roles and encourage experiential learning as a complimentary approach to their educational endeavors at the collegiate level. This program focuses on student leadership growth through an internship experience which will lead to greater and stronger participation in the students’ chosen fields as well as the future Church. Applications are available at the beginning of the spring semester for the upcoming school year. While the CM Intern can be held by a recent graduate or part-time student, all other internship positions are available for full-time college students.
Resident Campus Minister — 2018 Resident Campus Minister Application
The Resident Campus Minister position is a full time, post-undergraduate, one-year internship with an option to renew for one year. The Resident Campus Minister reports directly to the Director of Campus Ministry and serves with a team of priests, three other professional campus ministry staff, and FOCUS missionaries. The Resident Campus Minister has primary emphases in ministries related to evangelization, our weekly large group fellowship, and retreats. The Resident Campus Minister lives in an apartment at the Newman Center and works as a part of the Campus Ministry Team to serve the collegiate and parish community through practical ministry and a ministry of presence. Compensation consists of an apartment (utilities and parking included), monthly stipend, and benefits.
Life Teen Intern — 2018 LifeTeen Internship Application
This position is a half-time position which assists the Director of Youth Ministry in programming for high-school age teens. Responsibilities include planning and attending weekly Life Nights, bi-monthly Confirmation sessions and seasonal retreats. Other duties include relational ministry with the teens, which could include school lunch visits and/or attending teen extra-curricular events. 15 hours weekly during semester and 8 weeks in summer, minimum wage.
