Wills and Planned Giving

Have you created a will?

Regardless of your financial situation, your will is one of the most important documents you will create.  Unfortunately, statistics show that the majority of adults die without a will.  Your will allows you to plan for how you want your assets distributed.  This could mean to people, but also to charitable organizations through planned giving.  Planned giving combines your personal and financial goals to help you meet your charitable giving objectives.  Several options exist from simple bequests to charitable trusts which allow you to designate a dollar amount or percentage of your estate to a charitable organization.  If you would like to learn more about the process of creating a will or planned giving options, the Newman Center is hosting a Wills and Planned Giving Seminar on Monday, March 20 from 6-7 p.m. in the Disciples Room.  Whether you are a young adult or retiree, all are welcome!  For questions or to RSVP, contact JoAnn Shull at joann@comonewman.org or call 573.449.5424 x205.  RSVP appreciated, but not required.
