The University of Notre Dame Folk Choir will be performing a concert at the Newman Center, as part of their Heartland Spring Tour of 2017. On Wednesday, May 24, the choir will arrive in Columbia for a 7 p.m. concert. This is a FREE concert, open to the public. Students in the University of Notre Dame Folk Choir rely on the generosity of parish members for food and lodging during their tours. We need families who are willing to host either two or more students for the evening after the concert. You would be responsible for picking them up at the Newman Center after the 7 p.m. concert and reception and returning them the following morning by 8:15 a.m. It is customary to provide breakfast for the students before drop-off. Before the concert on May 24, the Newman Center will be hosting a dinner for the choir at 5:30 p.m. in the MPR. We also need individuals who are willing to drop off food for the meal, or volunteer to help organize and serve the meal that evening.
Please contact Monica Widhalm at firstname.lastname@example.org or 573-999-9064 for more information or to sign up. There will also be a table for questions and sign-up after all masses the weekend of April 22/23. Or you can sign up to help HERE. Thank you in advance for considering to be a part of this fun and entertaining evening.
